Nu Sass Productions is the brainchild of Ms. Aubri O’Connor, an Oberlin grad, and Ms. Emily Todd, an alumna of the University of Virginia. These two friends sensed a dearth of opportunities for strong female actors and directors in the DC theater community.
Together they created Nu Sass, and debuted at the 2009 Capital Fringe Festival with Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. They have since produced Yasmina Reza’s Art (Spring 2010), and Mark Rigney’s Cavers (Capital Fringe Festival 2010, fallFRINGE Festival 2010).
Nu Sass is currently preparing a reading series of new works for Spring 2011, and the World Premier of Walt McGough’s play Priscilla Dreams the Answer for the 2011 Capital Fringe Festival.
Company members are Ms. Raven Bonniwell, Ms. Tiffany Garfinkle, Ms. Aubri O’Connor, Ms. Stephanie Svec, and Ms. Emily Todd.
